My usenet service counts headers as part of my paid for bandwidth usage and many times I'll download headers and not find any messages I want to download the bodies for, so... I was thinking it would be nice to to be able to download headers from a free server and download any bodies I want from my ...

i'll finish with indexing soon, then i'll check what can be done about small requests in the light of the situation then (now i'm only working on code, don't check anything else). That's fine by me.... It's just a convenience feature I'd like and not that important in the larger scheme of things......

How about just a single option called something like "Truncate long subjects", for the subject: This is a very long usenet message subject If it's not checked UE would display This is a very lo...age subject (or however it does it now), if it's checked UE displays: This is a very long usen...

Currently UE displays subjects that are too long to display like this:

Is there a way or an option to display it like this:

Beginning...

(in other words, I'd prefer if it displayed as much as it could leaving off the end of the subject rather than taking out the middle of it.)

Any idea what the Persist option for news group state is?

Does anybody know that the news group load states mean and why you would choose one over the others? Well I tried the Mark headers old on load and it does exactly what it says, it marks all current headers as old when you load/open the news group, this is not what I want so I turned it back off. I'll try it, the way I interpret that is when you load the program or newsgroup all headers will be marked as old.

Is there a setting that will mark all current headers as old when I start a Get New Headers task? Would sure make it easier to know what's new since the last time I got new headers.

The only thing I've seen so far would mark all headers as old on loading which is not what I want.
