also if you download something in the same time, e.g. some dvd .iso from the web - UE won't know that and the limit may be still exceeded... It might not be the same for everyone but when I was subjected to throttling, I always wanted to be able to download as much as I could within the limited per...

...if many providers will routinelly limit bandwidth it may change, but unlikely it will be a big trend since they also compete among themselves and adding restrictions may result in losing customers. The Scheduler is still a very relevant part of UE for me. I was using it every day up until a few ...

REQ: run program when all tasks are finished
I've hit an issue that's presented itself lately. There used to be a time when I'd let my computer(s) run all day and night forever but for several reasons I now put them to sleep. I know there have been one or two mentions of this in the past but there weren't any real solutions. My request would h...

...XP-antispy...? xp-AntiSpy or XP-Antispyware? Hopefully you don't have the dangerous one. There's no easy way in XP to do the same as in Vista other than following the steps outlined here and here . These are awkward and time consuming and they might not even fix or narrow down the problem. In th...

Re: new licencse... but how ?
ok... i dont mind paying for ue, but how, been looking around a bit and i cant find an option anywhere ???? This has been asked a few times now and it's not as obvious as it maybe should be. The answer is simply to vist the Register UE page and buy another copy. There is no way to resubscribe to th...

e.g. kaspersky had problems in the past with several builds, fixing them afterwards sometimes not fast enough, but for a year or so i didn't hear complaints about it, i think Josef K is using kaspersky. Kaspersky has not been a problem in over a year of using it. There is a tweak to be made which c...

...the question is why to use such unreliable storage in this manner. Remember that a NAS will incorporate its own OS and its own file system. The way Windows interacts with the storage space on the NAS will be different to simply saving straight to a hard drive. The storage is solid but the method...

I've seen similar behaviour with my NAS. I can't remember if I tried downloading directly to the NAS with UE (but I probably did at some point - it was a while ago I got it). What happens if you save files to the NAS from the web with a multithreaded downloader, e.g. Firefox and DownThemAll? I find ...

So now the Updater is functioning satisfactory for all your DBs and EXEs? Yes. I think I should take the few seconds it needs to actually replace my UE shortcuts with the updater ones. I can't imagine you would change anything much now that would affect the db path in the .ini so all should be fine...
