I have updated the UE updater to 0.53. Updated it to use the correct http://www.usenetexplorer.com URL.

The updater was using the old URL so it didn't work anymore.

Is there any interest for a 64bit compatible version?

You are probably getting compressed headers and the real speed is still 500kb/s, you should see two speeds in the statusbar if UE is downloading compressed headers.

The error message means that two of your servers are using the same IP address, probably one of the servers temporarily are using the same IP address as one of your other servers. If you don't want UE to check for aliases, Uncheck "Check for aliases" in Menu->Edit->Properties->General->Ser...

In the properties for the newsgroup you want to reset change Retention/Dates to Natural and Headers per server to all and then choose Reset headers from the rightclick menu. Now when you do a Get new headers you should get all headers in that newsgroup. Hopefully I didn't forget anything. :D jonib
