Thats quick after 2 months they finally solved it.

But now i dont need it anymore because we have Sygate now, its better then ZA and its also free

Its a newspro fault, all my other programs autoshut down windows completly. I mean really shutdown.

Newspro shut it down, but there is still power on my comp and i hear the fans still runnung. The next day i have to poower it off manually.

I use sysgate now (free) and it works better and looks beteer then ZA.
I mailed ZA but got no responce only a stupd FAQ

After installing the Update Newspro could not connect anymore. It doenst see Newspro connecting, i didnt ask for permission it just blocks it completly. Manually adding it doenst work eather. Installing the old version from Newspro didnt succeeed anymore, nothing happened after setup. Whats wrong ? ...

Its true the new version of zonealarm stops newspro. I see it in the logfile. I could not get it to work even while manualy adding newspro to zonealarm. Installing the old version did not succeed eather. I use another (free) firewall now (sysgate) that works and it looks even better then zonealarm D...

A few days ago, i tried to save my filter from a.b.boneless when i was with finished autowatch/downloading. The filter was emptied at first, but i could not save empty files. So i put a "x" as a dummy in the filter and saved it. Today was getting new headers from a big newgroup and saw NP ...

Hi Alex, Yesterday i had a good use for "rescan every xx time", because one group had a bad retention, but was very liitle (a rescan cost only 2 minutes). But it was also downloading/watching from a very very big dump newgroup with good retention. The problem is that NP wanted to scan that...

i tried to understand what this program does, but i still dont know what it does that Newspro cant. What am i missing? It looks to my like a beautifull grafical interface aroudn NP, but nothing functional or....?

Newspro could surely use a good FAQ. And the "Kill filters and filter editor" screenprints / page is not up to date anymore. Mike this is the best thing i ever saw, i searched the internet for something like this but could not find it. Why not change the subject to NewsPro FAQ. Really grea...

Try this
Menu->Edit->Message filter->enter the word of your choice->extract

when finished click the most right reset.
That will do the trick.

Topic can be deleted, problems solved.

npr's are just parts of dloaded files, if i dload nothing and they are still there i delete them manually.
There is an option "clear temp dir periodicily"
