As a long time fan of NewsPro (it really is the best for news group binaries, no matter what anyone else will tell you), one thing that I would LOVE to have is the ability to either customize the toolbar (adding, moving, deleting buttons and functions), or creating custom toolbars, and also the mapping of functions that do not already have hot key (shotcut) associations with them to keys. Or reassigning keys from current functions to ones of our choice. There is no way to do this at the current time that I can find (at least in 3.8 reg).

Any comments on whether these are good or bad ideas?

it is only the question of implementation order, i need to finish my current work on internals first, i wanted to get rid of microsoft class library support and it takes some effort. the option you mentioned is already included in that work.
