How about adding the ability to open pictures (JPG) so that it can fit to window. It would be even nicer if it has a zoom/unzoom capability.
Thank you for all the good works.

For me shrinking when a picture is too big it would be good. Especially with 10mb dvd covers you only see a fraction of the picture.

the problem here ue uses superficially adopted newspro article view code (just i've run out of time), which was designed from ground up for slow connections and does things which ue doesn't need and doesn't use (although if to consider it as a black box it performs well), so what is needed is deeper revision and then i could replace the image library to handle more image types and resisizing, it won't be a problem since on
www.netwu.com you can find the webpix application which handles all kinds of images and since it is written by my brother i could ask for sources (the other image library is third party but at least something reliable).
but right now many factors are coming into play having to do with time, if all goes satisfactory it won't be a problem.

Maybe this could be solved by letting the user specify an external viewer program with switches ?

Already implemented - after a fashion. Double-click the image inside UE and it'll open in the image viewer of your choice as long as associations are set correctly. I have ACDSee set up to handle images so it'll open the image to (as I have it set) fit to screen.
