REQ: Status Bar information

I would love to see a feature that would give me a summary of the information available in the task manager. It would have a section like each of the tabs in the task manager.
For instance, the task section would tell me:
Tasks: 6/2398 1:04:36
which would mean it is running six tasks, has 2,398 tasks remaining, and 1 hour, 4 minutes and 36 seconds remaining of download time.
I ask for this only because I like to keep track of that information, but hate having the task manager open and covering part of my window.
Is there any interest in this suggested feature?
