I was wondering if there was a way to bypass the header and retention limit settings for any specific thread. In other words, say I subscribe to a group that regularly contains millions of articles on a server that supports 30-day binary retention, and I limit the max number of headers to 250,000 and the retention to 14 days. Then, if I see a posting of binaries that is truncated because of those constraints, I'd like to point to all or one of the headers from that posting and download all other like-headers regardless of retention or number of headers. Is that possible?? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

if you see it close to the end you could export it and then import it back to the import group, then the headers won't expire.
