How to download a segment of older headers?

I would like to load headers from, say 7-12 Februari. So that's a little over 2 weeks ago and i only want these 4 or 5 days.
I know i can select headers 1-30 days old, but then i still would have to d/l all headers be4 the 7th, which in some groups are an awefull lot. If i select 1-14 days old, i don't get all of it.

Is it possible to select a group of days like you do in the message filter? So you don't have to d/l an enourmous amount first and the message filter them?

you can define retention in properties->newsgroups, the rest set to 'retain' if you don't want to download again existing headers.

newspro will still scan all newsgroup since it is not known where messages within the data range start (they are not ordered by date on the server in the first place), but it is much faster than to download all headers again.

if you know what you need you can use xpat or get .nzb somewhere (www.binaries.nl etc.)
