Newsgroup retention and headers per server
Headers arriving to the usenet server are assigned server-specific increasing article numbers which roughly correspond to the article posting time, but the order may slightly differ because of article propagation delay variance. Thus we can talk about last newsgroup headers or header range in general (based on article numbers) or newsgroup retention (based on article posting time). Therefore header settings revolve around article numbers (header range) and retention (posting time).

General get headers settings
Below are shown get headers related settings in Edit menu->Properties->General. Quick retention normally should be checked, since otherwise the program in the first time will download all headers in the newsgroup to match the posting date.

Below are shown get headers related settings in Edit menu->Workspace, Newsgroups, newsgroup context menu. It is possible e.g. to retain headers beyond user-defined retention (see Edit menu->Properties->Newsgroups) and apply retention manually from the context menu, all per newsgroup basis.

The workspace newsgroup context menu get headers related entries (bar advanced submenu) can be also invoked from the newsgroup view.
