Long filenames/subject line problem

When using the option to save a group of files into a folder automatically created from the subject line, this can create a situation where the filenames are too long to fit into the new folder. For example, a nitwit in ab.sounds.lossless has posted something with this subject line: (01/60) "Mo...

Would it be possible to add an option "retain as many headers as possible"?

Doing it by a specific number of days is rather inelegant.

I'm not seeing anything like that in 2.4.5. As a matter of fact, with the x264 group loaded with 220 days of retention (140 million+ headers), and another smaller group ("only" 8 million headers) and also downloading a good sized queue of articles, UE is still using less memory than Yahoo ...

Is it possible to show just the Author's "nym" in the Author column?

I don't recognize any regular posters by their (fake) e-mail address, and resizing that column to be able to see the nym portion of the field eats up too much screen.

No PAR2 files could also mean there were no PAR2 files to begin with! :D But thanks for mentioning that, because for some reason one of the only things I messed with from default was to check "preserve PAR2 zero file", and I have no idea why I did it! I'm still curious what others think......

I suppose there might be reason to differentiate between unrar vs par2, in case someone wants to keep everything inside a RAR set even though some of the files might be on the "unwanted" list. The most important thing for me is to be able to tell immediately that a folder's contents have p...

It's well thought out in that I think it can be distilled to those 4 steps. It's basically all about me being lazy! Ideally, I'd like to queue up a batch of music downloads, then when I come back see that they are sorted into separate folders for each album (I very much like the auto-suggest f...

Re: wow2

What an incredible application. I have posted an "ad" in my favorite newsgroups. Good luck alex! Are you "zzz"? I found a post in my favorite newsgroup this morning that led me here! I've used Newsleecher for years, but some of its bugs are so heinous that I simply can no longer...

Suggestion for uncluttered downloads

There seems to be no simple way to look at a folder of UE downloaded material and determine if it has passed verification. Some of the programs I've used previously have an option to move the files contained in the PAR2 set to a different folder after a successful parity check. Once this happens it'...
