I think Alex had to shutdown his computer, so the server could not been reached.

the computer is half world away, probably disconnected, i cannot enter it as well (through remote desktop), it should be up later, probably something happened with the network. other explanation there was a talk about increasing process virtual memory address space (it would allow to increase retention within one instance to 40-50 days), maybe the system didn't restart properly with the switch, i don't know yet.

right now it is only the courtesy of the UE user who is running the server, i cannot get fast enough connection here (no such packages). anyone who has 2GB memory connection with 8-10mbps download/0.5-1mbps upload can run the server without any problem.

as to me my primary goal is to get the full high performance solution, to complete the work and switch to other topics, not to drag it for months. as to search service view mostly i need to add filters and as to the server probably i'll add an option to increase retention n-folds (like from 30 to 60, 90 etc days without changing the software with friendly to users approach when users connect only to a single server).

the work on the indexing server code i consider as a part of UE project covered by the current license.

when i finish with the software part (matter of days or a week) we'll think about permanent hosting, now i make some effort here but it is mostly sporadic due to being busy with the programming work.

There was an all-night power outage due to a severe storm where the server is currently hosted. It is now back up.

it is running now, the database is fault tolerant it means quite unlikely any data has been lost.
