I can't say if it works for 7z or regular Zip files, but the vast majority of large archives is RAR.
I suppose you'd only need one thread to do this stepped download-Par-RAR operation for very large archives.

Feature request: on the fly Par & Unrar
This function is already part of SabNZB I believe and I feel it would be a valuable feature for UE. As it is now, when downloading large archives (like a 50GB movie or game), it takes a long time to download, then PAR check and then unRar the archive. These functions can be done in parallel. As each...

UE cannot unpack this nzb
It is not passworded, but simply obfuscated names.
SabNZB can deal with this, but UE not.
File added as example.

Re: UE often unrars two copies of a file
I've had this happen too, quite often.
I'll also pay attention to what nzb does this and report it here.

NZB's now have passwords inside them...
So I got a lot of downloads lately that didn't indicate a password and wouldn't unRAR. Turns out the password is INSIDE the NZB. It's apparently a long common feature of NZB's but rarely used, until recently. The NZB looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTY...

Re: Feature request: read NZB file in import folder from rar
Unfortunately it seems UnpackMonitor doesn't work anymore and quite a lot of similar programs as well... forums down, error starting it up or no action whatsoever. Seems MS had changed a few things around or something and crippled many old software. Oh well, thanks for the tip though.

Re: Feature request: read NZB file in import folder from rar
Hi Alex, I think this program will do exactly what I had in mind, uploading archives and have it imported into UE. Having another program and task running and the ‘risk’ of forgetting to launch it when I start UE is just a minor nuisance. Thanks for pointing it out to me :D Just out of curiosity tho...

Feature request: read NZB file in import folder from rar/zip
In line with remote administration of UE I have the following request/suggestion. NZB's are very compressible due to it being just plain ASCII text. Sending a 31MB UHD movie NZB from a remote location can be a real pain when the connection drops (it happened more than once to me). When you compress ...

Re: Coded nzb downloads correctly but is not unrared in auto
I did not try to download it to a separate folder, just the regular importing the nzb into the Import folder.
I disabled the require Par2 verification now, I'll see how that works. Thanks

Coded nzb downloads correctly but is not unrared in auto.
There are coded nzb's that UE downloads correctly and names them correctly but seem to not have the total number of files mentioned. As such UE does not know when the archive is complete and cannot determine when to unrar. This leads to complete archives that require manual unrar even if the auto un...

Re: Feature request: Import folder scanning interval setting
I have tested the test file you gave and can confirm it works as advertised. It delays the import by the set amount of time, all downloads are completed successfully. It appears as if UE looks at almost every file separately and applies the delay to that file while importing files it saw earlier and...

Re: Feature request: Import folder scanning interval setting
I’ll give it a try to see if the system works but just an extra 5 second delay is not going to make much difference. When the connection is really slow a UHD movie nzb of +-25MB might take more than 30 seconds to upload. Can’t you just make the delay up to a minute? Given the good compressibility of...

Re: Feature request: Import folder scanning interval setting
Excellent! I had to renew my subscription anyway, so I did! ;) You could also list it as a valued feature, to be able to download completely off-site. In the future perhaps certain configuration settings might even be manipulated remotely with uploaded config files/switches. But I'm just spitballing...
