Hi Alex, great work on this fantastic application !!! Although it took me some time to get used to the interface etc. (used to BNR2) this gives me plenty of options I can use. Just a few comments :

Why do newsgroups not inherit the options set for their parent folder ? For example, if I set an initial filter for a folder, it is applied when I open the folder. But when I open one of the groups inside the folder individually, it isn't :?:

Then, I noticed that headers that match a find field (from the quick filter bar) are also marked (blue oval) when the bar is set to filter and not find. Not very important, I agree, but I thought I'd just mention it.

Very cool that the settings of groups/servers can be copied/pasted, especially since you can select multiple rows. It would be nice if a setting that is changed is also applied to all rows selected (currently only the row that was selected last is changed). Easy to work around with the copy / paste though.

Then finally a (perhaps) far-fetched request. I'm using two commercial servers : one with unlimited downloads, one with a block account. Of course, I use the block server only as a back-up, when something isn't available on the other ones. So I have it configured to only get headers. But I would like it to also get bodies if an article / group was only present on that server ! I first thought I could do this by unchecking the "always" checkbox below the "Get bodies" checkbox, but this isn't working. So an option that says "Unless article is only present on this server" when "Get bodies" is unchecked would be great.

Thanks again and regards,

Mnns

Won't priority setting do the trick for your last request?

First get everething from your unlimited server.
If it ain't there, it will jump to your block account...

Hmm, I guess it would ... pretty stupid I overlooked this since I had exactly the same configuration working as you suggested in BNR...

Thanks !

newsgroup and folder initial filters are set separtedly in properties->newsgroups, you can use copy/paste to copy the filter settings (the buttons on the bottom designate what settings you want to copy/paste).

the find matches are always marked, unless you clear the find filter fields, why not, it doesn't cost anything.

if you mean edit menu->properties, 'copy' "copies" settings of the current row and 'paste' pastes them into all selected list entries (rows).
