Registering Changed a Property Setting

After updating to the registerd version, from the trial, I noticed that the 'Save' directory, on the Newsgroups tab, has reset itself back to the Newspro directory. Only after I couldn't find all the files I'd just downloaded.
Are any other settings 'modified' by registering.
Cheers.

For registering you have to download a seperate newspro.exe and it can be that settings are changing-- I think ??
I have made all settings new with the reg. version.

there are no such settings at all, settings are not modified.
as to the save directory - check what you have in properties->newsgroups, if it is changed you have something set in default and nothing set in newsgroups (when you select newsgroups, the save directory edit field to the left of the browse button - you see there 'default'). in such a case the save directory is changed every time you e.g. download&save and set a different directory.
to make a directory permanently associated with newsgroup - you need to define save directories for newsgroups, if it is the same directory - just select all newsgroups, press browse, set the directory, press 'copy' and then 'paste', if you now click different newsgroups you should see the directory instead of 'default'. you can even use download&save so it will initially show the associated directory then you can choose another one (e.g. subdirectory); the next time it will start again with the original save directory, defining it in the newsgruop properties makes it 'sticky'.

I was running the Trial version. I had set the 'Save' directory in Edit -> Properties -> Newgroups to where I wanted everything saved. After I registered, downloaded the Registered version, installed it, and registered it, the setting was pointing NOT to the setting I had before, but the NewsPro directory.
Not a big deal, once I realised what was happening, but I just wanted to make sure nothing else 'might' have been reset.
Cheers.

if by installing you mean just replacing executable, it doesn't change the settings file (reg.dat), but anyway doesn't matter.
if you run it with a new profile and create a new database you need to copy reg.dat file to the new data directory to keep the settings.
