I have used newspro for years and it's the best reader out there !
But it keep telling me I need more than 127 MB of ram, im on a P2 300 an old maschine yes but maybe you could think about poeple on old slow maschines ? , I got this problem after switshing news provider now I have access to 18 servers and millions !!!!!!!!! of headers

i'm working towards faster handling and keeping of larger amounts of headers, i estimate it should work faster on old computers too.

as to memory in any realistic layout when you donwload headers for many groups (the worst case) it requires access to all the database. if you have less memory just define a retention or 'last headers' in properties->newsgroups to limit the number of headers (if you check newsgroups once in several days you'll see all the headers anyway).

maybe i'll be able to reduce the storage for the worst case 25%-30%, increasing the amount of RAM will beat any such improvement, just there are also other considerations so I go for it too, it is better to be optimal.
