I am trying to figure out how to resize the Task Manager window when it is docking at the bottom of the application below the Workspace.

you just put the mouse cursor about the task manager title bar when it changes shape to

then you press the left mouse button and then if you drag (move the mouse while keeping the left button pressed) the size of the window will change.

How do I get UE to always display auto collections?

Another way of asking this is how do I always get the yellow auto collections to be depressed or selected?

Hit F5 , go to "Newsgroups" pane and select the default collections you want for one particular newsgroup or for all your newsgroups :

"Enable auto collections" should be checked in "General" pane for it to work
