Hello,

Just downloaded the latest update and when I try to launch UE after the update I get "file corrupt" message.

Any suggestions?

Come back from the future and try to (re)download version 2.7.1. 8)

It works fine for me!

Ok, back from the future but still won't work for me. 2.6.3 works fine. Could I have a corrupt database that is not working with new version?

So you are able to extract/install the new version but when you run the ue.exe you get this "file corrupt" error? could you attach a screenshot?

Does the UE window appear?

You could test if your database is the problem if you temporarily move all files in the database directory to another place and try to run UE again, it should create a new database then.

In the UE database directory do you have a log.txt file? open it in Notepad and look for this line --Login-- (v2.7.1) probably at the end of the file, now is there anything after that?

I've made an experiment and changed several bytes in UE.exe

Now when I launch it I see "File corrupt" message box.

I've emailed you the extractor file, in the next time try to delete files in Internet Explorer Tools->Options, ensure it actually downloads it and doesn't take it from cache, as to now the extractor checks only the beginning of the file for correctness, I'll add also checking the end, since the file is encrypted if something wrong the end will be completely garbled.

Thanks Alex! The file you sent worked no problems once I told ZoneALarm it was not malicious. :)
