There was a setting (F5) I think under Properties --> Newsgroups maybe where you could limit the number of items within a newsgroup. Before I mess and screw things up (typical me), I'd like confirmation/correction.

Object: to be feed items in small doses going from recent to earlier to reduce download time for large newsgroups.

You can set there headers per server and/or retention to limit the amount of headers.
