suggestion make "saving empty filter" possible

A few days ago, i tried to save my filter from a.b.boneless when i was with finished autowatch/downloading.
The filter was emptied at first, but i could not save empty files.
So i put a "x" as a dummy in the filter and saved it.
Today was getting new headers from a big newgroup and saw NP selecting and downloading all kind of files i didnt knew (every file with a x in it).
I was forgotten to to set autowatch on "off"
that happens to me a lot with all those newgroups and filters i use.
Is it maybe possible to let NP save empty filters, so when i forget tot set watch on "off" again nothing gets selected and dloaded.
