I recently went through the Zonealarm upgrade fiasco. I canned Zonealarm and installed Sygate. Now Newspro shows it is downloading headers from my four servers, but nothing shows up anywhere, not as number of headers in the newsgroups window or in the open windows of the individual newsgroups. I completely deleted Newpro and reinstalled it and still nothing. Anyone else have this problem? Help!!

Are you letting NP completely finish downloading hearders? I know that, for instance, when I change retention settings, at first, when NP is polling the server, it takes quite a while sometimes for any headers to show up, even though the progress bar is moving.

Yes, I let the header retrieval complete. When the header retrieval is complete no headers show in the open newsgroup window and in the newsgroup list window the group is shown as (empty).

maybe check global kill filters?
