I usually just download (ALT+D) and save (ALT+K) later. If I did a rescan on a group where I have downloaded bodies (ALT+D) but not saved them yet, would NewsPro delete them if they are no longer are on the news server or would they stay because I downloaded them and not yet told NewsPro to delete them???

if the bodies are complete - they won't be deleted by themselves (unless you delete the newsgroup).

incomplete bodies are eventually deleted if "partial menu->delete such bodies automatically..." is checked
