Hi

For some strange reason NP won't get any headers. Bandwidth keeps saying 0.000. I use astraweb & claranews.
The problem is happening on a freshly installed XP and I use NIS. Even with the firewall disabled.

check you added servers; if you did you should see the red dot in the workspace on the newsgroup name and errors in tasks menu->task manager, the error pane, they should give a clue what happens. if you see the green dot and nothing happen eventually you should see the timeout error, maybe malfunctioning firewall (disabled doesn't mean uninstalled).

I know this is an old thread, but also make sure you didn't click the pause button accidentally (the little hand). I've done that once or twice.
