Feature request: Option to have a static tray icon name

NewsPro's tray icon was always called "NewsPro", this was convenient because then I could mark it to be always visible... I know some people probably like the bandwidth usage display the icon names itself but this makes marking it as always visible problematic at best. Please consider addi...

I agree, this would be nice to have in UE... but it's not a real "biggie", I'm sure there are other more important things that need doing in UE... :D

Usenet Explorer is cool!!!

Hi Alex!

I just took a look at Usenet Explorer and other than the lack of filters (I know you are working on it) I like what I see!

Question: Will my trial period be reset when I install a newer version so I can try out the version with filters (when it's available)?

Thanks!

The future of NewsPro?

Now that Usenet Explorer is out... I'd like ot know what that means for the future of NewsPro. Will development continue or is Usenet Explorer intended to replace NewsPro meaning that development on NewsPro will eventually cease? I've gotten used to NewsPro and have little (if any) problems with it ...

How about doing it this way: subject contains "hello", All, Select subject contains "foo", Unselected, Ban subject contains "bar", Unselected, Ban I'm thinking that since the word list is rather long, maintaining it would be easier if I can keep on a separate line in th...

Ban filter

Simple question. If I setup: subject contains "foo", All, Ban subjuct contains "bar", All, Ban Will all messeges that contain "foo" and or "bar" be killed? Then if I add: subject contains "foobar" All, Extract Would that still ban messeges that conta...

Ah, OK that makes sense. The problem I was going to report that appears to be fixed now, is that when NewsPro is running it appears to interfere with Microsoft's Virtual PC 2004's console causing it to lock up. As soon as NewsPro exits the Virtual PC console immedeately un-freezes. But with v3.74 th...

New version notice??

In the past NewsPro has always been good about notifying me when a newer version was available. 8)

v3.73 never popped up a message that v3.74 was available, I found out when I came to the forum to report a problem that appears to have been fixed in v3.74.

Comment about "Finish all tasks and exit"

Shouldn't the "tasks" include autosaves?

I noticed that NewsPro exits as soon as it's done downloading; I would think that if you have autosave turned on, that it wouldn't exit until all the autosaves are done.

No problem... Now that I know it's only going to show 1 pending task which feeds new post tasks as old ones complete, I'm happy with that. It was just a little confusing, having gotten used to and expecting the same behaviour as when downloading. Personally I laugh at everyone else trying to get oth...
