Re: Setting up a Fill server
Then go to the Servers tab in Properties and select your primary server as Highest Strict. And your fill server as Normal(or lower). This looks correct, the strict setting is supposed to only use the strict server unless the article task fails. That's the way I have my servers configured and my fil...

Jupp, It's the quick filter highlighting the files. Apparently I have never used that feature.
It's fun to learn something new.

Re: Workspace & Collections
It looks like the headers that are black aren't new anymore. On my WinXP system I have flags where you have the blue dots, I assume it's the same. The flags indicate that the header wont be deleted automatically by UE (similar to a start in some programs), to toggle just click on the place of the fl...

Re: Header Auto Update
could you explain to me what these settings do? Here is a screen shot of it. As UE can do many tasks like download headers, articles, group lists and post new articles, those settings control what has the highest chance to start next. In your example image, headers has a higher chance to be downloa...

Re: Header Auto Update
Can anyone tell me if in properties>watch/autoheader Check Box with SAVE > incomplete partials Should I have this incomplete partials box checked? I have it checked so even incomplete files get saved and can be used to repair with par2. But you need to have Save/Unpack->Duplicate file names set to ...

Re: Speed - Trial Version
Your speed is fine, 25 megabits/second is very close to what UE shows in Megabytes/second.boston62 wrote:I have a 25 mbps line, but the speed in UE only gets 2.95 MB/S. Is it capped? I see nothing in the setup on speed? Thanks for the help

Re: Mark on one PC download on another?
"Big" is relative. The top level folder reports 30 gig. My connection is realllllly slow - 700kbs. :| 30 gigs sounds a bit big for the DB, look which directory takes most space in the UE dir, maybe you have some unsaved binaries still taking space. Mine is 3gigs probably still too big to ...

Re: Mark on one PC download on another?
Is there any way I could copy a few UE database files from the PC at home to the laptop, run UE on the laptop and mark the downloads, then copy the files back and let the download happen back at home? Depending on how big your UE DB is, shouldn't be a problem to copy it. You could use the export he...

Re: Do 600+ day old files really exist?
I don't really see how $29.99 US is reasonable, Astraweb is up to 844 days for $15 ($11) per month, I get full speed (2MByte/s) and had no problems for years.

I tested in Win7 64bit(32bit UE), both my normal DB and a new DB, and I still get the disappearing collection. So I don't believe it's a filter/setting problem in UE.

Re: Collections display bug
but i cannot reproduce the disappearance of the list item, is it sorted by size? Yes, biggest first, but the sorting don't affect the disappearing collection. So you can expand any of the results and then collapse and everything is fine, hmm. what is the sort order when it first appears? Age, newes...
