Re: Collections display bug
maybe it is initial filter? The search service windows don't support initial filters. But I do use initial filters. here i see the expanded collection is complete, in yours nzb and nfo files are missing, no reason why it would be the case. There was two collections with the same name as the one I e...

Collections display bug
Which forum should I post bug reports like this? Here or Development (UE) or the other forum. OK, the problem if I use the search service and search "The Penguins Of Madagascar I Was A Penguin Zombie.2010.DVDRip", the results show 4 collections. UEBug1.PNG Now if I expand the second collec...

Re: default download folder?
Jon - you misunderstand. It's Joni or jonib. In other words you get "ask" behaviour for non default whether it is ticked or not. Well I can only tell you that it seems to work for me. I have a folder with a non default save dir, and ask is unticked, I don't get a save dialog even if the d...

Re: default download folder?
From reading the above, then the ask tickbox is only used for the topmost "default" setting. The ask tick-box can be changed for any newsgroup/folder that uses a custom save directory. If it has no meaning for a named newsgroup or folder, then can I suggest that for each individual newsgr...

You should read the help file UE.txt, specifically sections Quick filter bar and Search service bar.

Re: Auto UnRar
Did those RAR files have a .par2 associated? I believe UE needs to verify a RAR or split file before AutoUnRARing or joining.

Re: Best way to pause downloading?
But I have also seen other buttons like the "Pause" button. The Pause button is used if you need to pause the download temporarily (or slow it down). What is the best way to make sure Usenet Explorer will restart the queue of files being downloaded when you have to switch off your compute...

Re: default download folder?
Go to Menu->Edit->Properties->Newsgroups tab , the line at the top called Default has the default setting all newsgroups use unless changed. The save directory path and setting is at the bottom of the dialog, if all newsgroups should use the default save path, the save setting needs to be Default on...

Check that your firewall (or other security software) is not blocking the new version.

Re: Usenet Explorer Automatic Updater
As to v2.9 there are files on both netwu.com/ue and usenetexplorer.com, but from now on it will be only usenetexplorer.com, it was one of the reasons I've forced the update by changing the search service protocol - to make links in the program code uniform. With netwu there were problems sometimes,...
