Purging Deleted Header from Virtual newsgroup

I attempt to purge deleted headers after doing a show deleted headers in a virtual newsgroup with say 3 newsgroups in it, I can see the deleted headers but when I choose to purge it says "Purging deleting headers for folders/virtual newsgroups is determined by forming newsgroups (invoked automatically)" This is a little cryptic and it is nt working for me. I have default set to Purge.

newspro will purge deleted headers automatically later - when you open the newsgroups - even implicitly by invoking 'get new headers' for the folder, it is implementation pecularity (since purging was added at some point).

i'm reconsidering purging, maybe it will be separated from deleting and will be considered cross-group like deleting, then there will be no such a question.
