searches go okay, but i cant download

Eve since the search went down and came back up recently I'm having a problem.

The search goes okay but anything I try and download fails.

I get a litle red circle with a white x.

EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Also, I use another newsreader for a small numer of groups and with that I'm having no problems. It's just Usenet explorer that can't download anything.

Suggestions??

the red circle appears (you are talking about the search results view apparently) e.g. when you mark something for download&save and then press "cancel".

also it could happen when e.g. server db was corrupted somehow but it has never happened in the past, if i have a proof there is even one corruption i would run integrity check and replace damaged files from parallel running copy.

what exact download/save option do you invoke?

can you give me an example of a search string and then which exact results you are trying to import (any example which gives you the error circle)?

for example if you search for

subject: death*race*2008
author: fake

then do you see the error circle (i don't)?

I closed UE and reopened and now everything is fine.

quite strange, if it can search it can also import message-ids, i checked even the case if you would keep the search results view opened from yesterday when i changed the configuration.

are you sure you tried exactly the same searches?

Yes, i searched eureka*xvid and slayers*revolution and then tried to download files. I also tried a few other random searches. Whatever the glitch was, its gone now.
