When I try to read Chinese (Big5) posting with Newspro but some of then appears as garbage codes while some others are ok. I have already select Chinese font in Newpro's preference menu. Is there still something I missed?

What update did you install? Are you sure the program isn't simply minimized with an icon in the Taskbar? I updated everything whatever provide on the MS site and then Newspro disappear. Now I roll back the system anmd reinstall the win update again by selecting only security patches . It is ok now...

I am using WinXp and just made an on line update in MS update sute. After rebooting, I run newspro but it does not shown up in any active window. I know it is running (it is even downloading the articles I marked for download before the program disappear), I just can't bring it up in the active wind...

It is not entirely what I asked for (since I have do the "dummy" download everytime I start the program, it is a useful workaround.

I 'd tried to set strict priority. It did reduce the amount of downloaded bodies from the server in question, but still cannot restrict it download to header only. Anyway this is a step foward , thanks.

My experience of playing with priority is that even if the priority of a server is set to low, it will eventually be kicked in if its speed is fast.
Unfortunately the one I want to limit its download to header only is a very fast one.

How can I config a server to d/l headers only but not bodies?(because for this server headers are not count toward the daily limit)?

Is is possible and how?
I remember that this had been discussed sometimes ago but cn't find the thread.
