But then again, I should've read your first post "The next release" more carefully..

Few nice touches Alex! Thanx for Set Auto Reset Time option in server's context menu. Now I can finaly see my daily download amounts on Newsfeeds servers and know how much is left on particular server (they all reset on Midnight CST now). I'm not sure but I think that Newsfeeds DON'T exclude headers...

I'm using NewsPro for more than 10 months now, and I haven't seen option like that. Closest aproximation to default save directory (like Agent has) can be found in Properties|Watch/Auto tab, Default button, but it only applies if you first Add some previously created filter, then Browse to directory...

Correction, I must have been sleepy last night when I posted my settings. Both servers which I use for headers (news.optonline.net and unlimited.nfc) are NOT Strict in Priorities, otherwise they would never pass through articles down the line to *.newsfeeds.com servers (which have no headers, used o...

Tha*Lunat!k, you are right. Retention on unlimited server is not great, 7-10 days at most, but completion is pretty decent. I guess Newsfeeds tried to make balance between unlimited downloads from that server and the fact that it covers EVERY group in existence, so they couldn't possibly provide the...

Nice setup, and very smart... What kind of connection do you have and what's your average download bandwith? I have something similar but without EasyNews. I use my ISP's (OptimumOnline) server and unlimited.newfeeds.com for getting headers (they are on highest priorities) and all other *.newsfeeds ...

Nice topic! I've been experimenting passionatelly with maximizing NewsPro D/L bandwith for months now, and I've caught a tip or two on the way. I have OptimumOnline cable connection (East Coast) and I tweaked TCP/IP settings to the max (on all five computers in my home and home office) using tips fr...

I also went to Binnews for my daily "fix" of NewsPro information, only to find myself asked for logon (yes, I have Binnews acct) and after that inside EMPTY NewsPro forum! At the first moment I couldn't beleive my eyes, and it took me good 10 minutes of browsing through other forums until ...
