Backing up the database to another drive/disk

Just had a hard disk failure, didn't have the NewsPro database backed up anywhere, so had to completely start over.
What's the most efficient way to backup the database? If I copied all of the .dat files would that be sufficient, or should I simply copy the entire Data folder?

search forum, i remember the question was asked several times.
most important to save reg.dat (most settings), fld.dat (folders)
if you use filters save the filters, wch.dat (watch), flt.dat (kill filters)
pst.dat - post associations and identities
pub.dat public server search.
headers and info about deleted/read, but the files are big - hdr.dat, del.dat (not necessary to save them if it is only for such emergency as hard drive failure).

Really, the only thing that was tedious was to set up all the servers and newsgroups again. So I guess saving the reg.dat, fld.dat, pst.dat, flt.dat would be good enough.
Thanks, Alex.
