I have a registered copy of v4.8.1 64 bit. In the last few days the program randomly, arbitrarily, shuts down and the link to start again doesn't work because the UE.exe file is gone! Running the install file restores the executable but this can happen numerous times per day. I have used this program for years without any issues like this. I am running Win 7 and have not made any specific changes to hardware or software. Please advise.

It might be antivirus update, try to disable antivirus, it it works, add UE in the antivirus exception list.

You may also run uncompressed version of UE executable, look in http://www.usenetexplorer.com/download.htm some antiviruses tag them blindly.

I have not changed my AV provider in a decade but I will look into your suggestions. Thank you
