Third-party command line utilities for asynchronous unpack

v7+ is capable of running 7z command line to unpack 7z or zip files automatically.
v7.6+ has internal un7z, thus using external 7z command line for 7z files is only optional.
For the sake of uniformity only, the program can also run unrar command line externally.

  1. Download the needed utility using the links below or from the utility author website and extract the files.

  2. In "Edit menu->Properties->Unpack, Asynchronous unpack during save" select the relevant entry:

      7z files:
    • Select the "Un7z" entry and click "Browse".
    • In the "Select command line utility" dialog point to extracted 7za.exe to complete the setup.

    • Zip files:
    • Select the "Unzip" entry and click "Browse".
    • In the "Select command line utility" dialog point to extracted 7za.exe to complete the setup.

    • Rar files:
    • Select the "Unrar" entry, uncheck "Use internal implementation" and click "Browse".
    • In the "Select command line utility" dialog point to extracted unrar.exe to complete the setup.
