Search feature

In the case of a search service disruption the status updates will be shown here.

05 Jun 26: There was an attempt to release v7.8.1 with change in search service protocol, but I noticed something is maybe wrong with the server management version (derivative of UE) and reverted all back out of abundance of caution, it was available for around 20 minutes. If you downloaded it during the short time period (after trying to use the search service since I didn't set the update notification) downgrade to v7.8 since there is no clear UE notification when the search protocol has been possibly downgraded (which now will be added, since I didn't foresee such scenario). It might be very few users in single digits who are affected. The message will be removed after I sort it out and make the release now maybe as v7.8.2.

I get the message... Search Failed Connection was unexpectedly closed by the server.

I haven't used search in a week or two so don't know if this is a known problem. I can get headers and d/load fine any idea why this is happening

edit:
forum related; I received an internal server error and persumed this post wasn't posted, went back a page, clicked the post button again and saw two copies of my post, wanted to delete the last one, but couldn't because there was already a reply.

"A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond"

it just retrieves standard error messages from the system by error code, if it is too long it is cut, you can find the rest through web search.

it seems the box it comes in is a bit too narrow.
Thanks for the reply though.
