Unable to search alt.binaries.x264

05 Jun 26: There was an attempt to release v7.8.1 with change in search service protocol, but I noticed something is maybe wrong with the server management version (derivative of UE) and reverted all back out of abundance of caution, it was available for around 20 minutes. If you downloaded it during the short time period (after trying to use the search service since I didn't set the update notification) downgrade to v7.8 since there is no clear UE notification when the search protocol has been possibly downgraded (which now will be added, since I didn't foresee such scenario). It might be very few users in single digits who are affected. The message will be removed after I sort it out and make the release now maybe as v7.8.2.

For some reason i cant search this group anymore ( last 12 hours or so) all other groups are fine. Is the group still in the newsgroup list ?

yes, you are right, i mixed something after restoring from backup configuration.

i'm copying the fresh data files now, i'll restart the service when copying will be complete, then all will be ok.

I'm timing out on all groups, but just recently. It did work two hours ago.

please wait until the copy will be complete, maybe in 15-20 minutes, i need to copy around 190 days of retention across non-picture groups.
