UE Program Always On Top... Malfunctioning?

Hi, I am using UE Registered Version 2.5.2. A couple of days ago, I noticed UE was hogging my desktop. In order to bring a window to the foreground, I would have to minimize UE first. I know this isn't normal behavior because it has never done this before. I looked for an option for it in the preferences, menus and toolbar icons but I could not find it.

I am using Windows 7 32bit.

was it just one time occasion? UE was doing anything specific at the time?

windows 7 is not completely free of bugs, i had installed it a couple of days ago, i saw errors when running visual studio and two times when i was restarting the system (not just shutdown) it displayed white blank screen and on next restart I got error messages about BSOD. also i had one system hang. all within couple of days. i also see there are updates every day, most likely they are fixing bugs.

but it is good enough to test UE, for work i can use winxp.

so if one time probably it is system glitch, i don't think there is anything in the UE code to set it as the topmost desktop window locking out all the rest, it using bringtoforeground function when you click or doubleclick system tray icon, but it is not the locked topmost position.

It seems to have been a 1 time only thing. I have since rebooted and it is no longer staying on top of other windows. I'll let you know if the problem returns.
