Sorting By Size

Post by boston62 »

When I do a sort by size, it will change the order of collection files in the Subject. Example

sort by Subject order, the collection will be 1,2,3,4,5,6,

sort by Size, Subject order will be 96, 84, 77, something like that.

So when it downloads a collection it will start with 96, and not from 1.

Is this correct?

I believe "Size does not matter". (__  __)
Erh well it seems the queue is somehow in alphabetical order within the same collection queued unless you use "Sort article queue by Date".
Just put on the "Articles" pane of the "Task manager" and see what happen when you queue something.

Here are two screen shots the First is sorted by Subject, the collection after expanding will be in order 1,2,3,4.

The second is sorted by Size after expanding will not be in order. It's not a problem just curious about it.

So sorting by Size will change the order of the sorting in the Subject.

Ah I see, well only Alex can tell us the details.
I believe it's a design choice to have the "sort by size" inside the collection although it would be nicer to have alphabetical order at least for articles of identical size.
