I cannot download any files. Comes up with the following error 423 No Such Article in Group (Server).

no such article means maybe your server doesn't have the article bodies, also if they are very recent they may arrive a little later since indexing server feeds and your particular news server may be different.
it also might be a problem with corrupted news server message-id index (when server can download by article number but cannot download by message-id, since article numbers are specific to every server, indexing server cannot have them, if you are able to download the bodies after creating the "article number" destination type newsgroup, changing properties->articles, download bodies method to "article number" and downloading headers into it from your news server seeing them and only then managing to download article bodies it is such problem specific to your news server then).
