Collections: Reading .nfo marks entire collection as Old

Post by Leechmonkey »

Hi Alex,

This is a slight inconvenience but maybe there's a way around it. Normally, I have the NEW filter turned on every time I download new headers.

The problem I have with this is that when I view the NFO file inside a collection, the entire collection disappears because I guess UE marks the NFO files as "old".

Is there anyway to put an exclusion for Collection so it doesn't get marked OLD when I just open an nfo file? perhaps a customized extension exclusion such as jpg, txt, nfo, etc... ?

oops, never mind, i guess I can accomplish the same thing by unchecking "Mark read on view article"

When it marks "read" it also clears the "new" flag, but the collection will still remain "new" as long as there is any other "new" file in the collection.

What about the rest of the collection?

It works perfectly now that I understand. The rest of the collection remains unread and the collection as a whole is still "new" but "read" which is what i had hoped for.

thanks alex.
