failed tasks don't quit retrying

Hello,
after coming back from a three weeks vacation to Germany, I ran NP and got new headers. Many, many new ones! Then when I began downloading bodies, many of the older ones were expired on the newsserver, of course.

However, NP keeps retrying to get them, and doesn't get to the ones that are there. Is there a way to set NP to only try so many times? Or better yet, if it gets error "423 no such article..." that it will cancel that body's download?

in Server / Properties look for box [lower left] for Max Tasks and to right of this is box for number of 'retries' it will make before failing.
put in number you want and click 'set'
